The A.U.B Charles Hostler Student Center site is located at the sea front edge of the American University of Beirut campus. The program (13 345 square meters) includes a sports complex, an auditorium, a university gate and a parking structure for 250 cars. The American University of Beirut green campus presents itself as an exception in the dense urban cacophony of its schizophrenic surroundings. The building we propose is constituted of a series of layers that connect to the existing reference levels of its surroundings. The upper layer of the building is a green elevated platform / park that extends the greenery of the upper campus to the sea front edge of the university campus.
