Batroun Residence (R2)

Feghal, Lebanon
Residential
Aborted 2008

The project is located in Batroun, on the northern shore of Lebanon on a 5,300-square-meter coastal plot. The site slopes 17 meters from its point of access to the sea level. The topographic lines were redefined in accordance with the natural plateaus that direct the project on the east west axis giving full exposure for the entire program on the preferred sea orientation. The plan incorporates a reception area, master pavilions, a guest suite, and three suites for the children. The higher reference plane constitutes the arrival plateau that extends onto the inclined roofs of the pavilions that are tucked into the topography. The lower reference plane constitutes the terrace deck that spans along the individual pavilions and includes a swimming pool and funicular terrace that slides down to the sea.
